Amal Clooney

Amal Alamuddin was born in Beirut. Her name comes an'ml' and 'amal' Arabic which means "hope". Her family fled Lebanon at the age of two, when it was an era of war in Lebanon before settling in Gerrards Cross Buckinghamshire. Ramzi Alamuddin is a Lebanese Druze that hails from Baakline an area within the Chouf District of the Alam al-Din Dynasty. He graduated with an MBA from the American University of Beirut. The civil war came to an end in 1991[12][13] the family returned to Lebanon. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She was a foreign reporter and editor for the Saudi-owned al-Hayat journal. She was the founder of the PR firm International Communication Experts. This business is part of an additional firm that specialises in the booking of celebrities photographer, publicity photographs and event promotions. (17) Amal is the youngest of three children One sister (Tala) along with two brothers from her father's marriage to his first wife. Amal went to Dr Challoner High School (a girls grammar school in Little Chalfont Buckinghamshire) before she went to University. Then she attended St Hugh's College at Oxford where, among other things, she was awarded the Shrigley Award and an exhibition award. She was awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Judiciary (BA) in the year 2000. After that she began her studies at New York University School of Law for graduation with a Master of Laws Degree (LL.M). She received The Jack J. Katz Memorial Award to honor her achievements in the area of entertainment law.
